NOTE: When also targeting Instagram, all metrics reported by Facebook are combined. We are currently working with the Facebook team to separate these metrics.

When advertising with Facebook, retailers gain access to unique conversion reporting metrics.

On your Facebook dashboard you can view only the metrics that have values or unhide any metrics that reporting "zero".

Zero may indicate that this metric is not currently in use by your ads account.

In most cases, you will find the following to be the most important with actual values reported:

  • Adds To Cart: The number of add to cart events tracked by the pixel on your website
  • Offsite Conversion: When transactions occur in your physical business location and other offline channels after people see or engage with your Facebook ads
  • Purchases: The number of purchase events tracked by the pixel on your website
  • Offsite Conversion Value: The monetary value of all transactions occurred in your physical business location and other offline channels after people see or engage with your Facebook ads
  • Purchases Value: The monetary value of all purchase events tracked by the pixel on your website

Other engagement metrics you may also see populated:

  • Page Engagement: The number of times your business page was visited and engaged with after interacting with one of your ads
  • Post: The number of times a post on your business page was engaged with after interacting with one of your ads
  • Comment: The number of times someone left a comment after engaging with your ads
